We usually allow 15 minutes per appointments, but sometimes longer time is needed. Please let our reception staff know if you need a bit longer time with your doctor. Examples of this are for complex conditions, pap smears, full check ups, counselling, truck licence medicals etc. We really appreciate knowing in advance if you need extra time, this allows us to manage your health better and also decreases waiting times for others. You will receive a higher Medicare rebate for a longer consultation, but will have exactly the same out of pocket expense as for a standard attendance.
We are not a Bulk Billing Practice. Pensioners and Health Care Card Holders are Bulk Billed; all other patients will have an out-of-pocket expense. We charge below the AMA recommended fee.
- Full payment on the day will help us keep costs down, and a significant discount applies.
Eg: Standard Consult $64.05, A longer or more complex consult $98.70
Medicare will refund you all but $27.00 of the fee.

- Additional fees may apply for extended consultations, investigations or other services performed.
Payment in full on the day is expected for all attendances and a discount applies.
We accept cash, credit card, eftpos or cheques. Our staff can lodge your Medicare claim electronically, and your refund can be paid directly to your bank account. When paying with Savings or Debit card, your Medicare Rebate can be refunded immediately to that account.
*Our surgery is very mindful of particular cases where payment of fees may cause hardship; we hope you will feel comfortable in advising our staff if you are having difficulty with our accounts - doctors have discretion to extend the courtesy of bulk billing in appropriate situations.
We can use EzyClaim through our Eftpos machines. This means you can have your rebate put back into an account instantly. You will need an Eftpos card with a cheque or savings account linked and your Medicare card, we will do the rest for you. Or if you choose to pay with Credit Card, we can submit the claim online to Medicare and they will send you a cheque or they will deposit into a nominated account you have given them details for.
We endeavour to give our patients a high quality of service but if you are not happy about anything, please feel free to discuss the problem with the doctor - or you may care to write to, phone or email our Practice Manager.
We believe that problems are best dealt with within the practice. However, if you feel there is a problem you wish to take up outside the practice, you may prefer to contact an organization which deals with health care complaints
